It includes the following genera: Tetramitus Vahlkampfia It formerly included the following genera: Willaertia (moved to Naegleriidae) Monopylocystis (moved to Psalteriomonadidae) Naegleria (moved to Naegleriidae) Paravahlkampfia (not assigned to family ) Psalteriomonas (moved to Psalteriomonadidae) Sawyeria (synonymized with Psalteriomonas)
